Jewelry Party

This is the outfit I wore to a jewelry party recently.  This is a dress I found at Plato's Closet.  I was going to a Premier Jewelry party, so I had to wear a Premier necklace and earrings.  I added my gold bedazzled flip flops for a fun touch.  I would have loved to add my gold and colored beaded cuff bracelet.  Alas, I couldn't find it.  I'm happy to be in our new house, but finding things is still difficult! Hopefully I can get things more organized around here soon.

Minty Fresh

I purchased this sweater from Kohl's not log ago.  Yes, it's a sweater.  But, it's quite light weight.  And, my office is frigid cold!  I love the bow, and the extra layer of thin wispy fabric at the hem of the sweater.  I added Victoria's Secret slacks and my nude pumps with a bow.   This picture was taken in the "library room" of our new place.  The royal blue wasn't quite the darker color I was going of.  But, I think it's kind of fun.

Garden Party

First off...Happy 4th of July to my USA friends and family! I miss celebrating this day back home. The weather here has been horrible lately but I'm hoping for sunny spells this week. I thought I would share some of the work I've been doing in our garden. The first picture is actually from an indoor plant but I was delighted with myself that I got it to bloom again. I don't know about you but I find orchids (while beautiful) are SO hard to keep alive and get to bloom again. I actually have another one that has just started blooming again **so proud of myself** I have a nice variety of flowers in the garden now...roses, foxglove, petunias, clematis, carnations and several varieties of fuschia plants. Let's hope I don't kill them!

Happy Independence Day!

I hope you have a Happy Independence Day tomorrow! A lot of cities are celebrating tonight because people are off work on the day of the 4th, so it's best to celebrate until the wee hours of the 3rd.  

The other day I wore a patriotic outfit.  Unfortunately it was seriously windy at my house! I wore a soft cotton Ralph Lauren top with Ralph Lauren blazer and khaki pants.  I added red patent leather pumps for a kick of fun. 

I'm also starting a new job this week! Here's to hoping for great new beginning and great opportunities to learn and grow.

A Little Gold Leaf

Sorry I didn't post last week. My dad, aunt, sister and brother-in-law were here visiting so I was quite busy! Here is the same style top from this post but in a different colour. They still had them at Penneys so I had my sister try it on and she was sold instantly! My hair looked much better in person...it sort of looks like a crab pincher is holding it up here. I got my leaf necklace for 2euro which I was thrilled about because I'd been eyeing it for a while but it was 12e and too expensive at that price. It pays to hold out sometimes :D

Plaid is back!

I've seen a lot of plaid in fashion pictures lately.  Here is a plaid dress I bought on a trip to New York at Century 21.  It's a bit low cut for work, so I added a silk ruffled J. Crew tank.  My shoes are studded black pumps.
