I'm a Little Bit Country...

Sorry for the delay! Oops...went out on Saturday night with every intention of posting when I got home bbbuuuuuutttt of course ended up drinking more than I planned on and didn't get home until close to 4am. It was a great night though so worth it really I think! Anyway, here are a few outfits I've worn recently. The title of the post is as such because Hubbs, upon seeing me dressed like this, asked me where my boots and hat were. Hardy har har...he's hilarious.

I'm not sure I'm sold on this top...it is a recent purchase and I think I liked it much more when I first tried it on. Here, I think it makes me look a bit bigger than I am which is never a good thing!

Awkward & Awesome Thursdays

Awkward

1) When you email an acquaintance on Facebook letting them know you will be coming to town and they don't respond.  Is it because they don't want to hang out?  Or, are they just not Facebook people?  Should you email them again? Annoying...and awkward.

2) Packing in a wee bag.  I like to have many clothing options when on vacation.  I really hate how you have to try and cram all of your things into a carry-on now to avoid a $20.00 fee. 

3) Packing for 50 to 60 degree weather.  I normally go for layers.  But it would be nice if the weather could just pick an option!  Be warm or cold!

Awesome

1) Traveling!  Joshy and I are hanging out in L.A. this weekend!  So that's the reason I won't have any outfits to post here for the next few days.  Sorry for the silence!

Grey Matters

This is a top I purchased not too long after I finished the 30 for 30 remix. You can see my re-cap here. Lighting is bad here...I was in a hurry and the living room was in a state so I couldn't take my pics in there! I also realise there in an unfortunate glare from the mirror in the hallway...grr...Wednesday was just NOT my day (as you can tell from my face on the right)!

I'm wearing: grey & pink top from A/Wear, grey leggings from H&M, black tank top from Target, black waterfall cardigan from Penneys and black wedge boots also from Penneys. I felt a bit like a pirate in this getup but hey, I like pirates...they arrrrrgh great! :D

Marilyn Moments

It has been extremely windy in Wichita the last few days!  Today I threw caution to the wind (pardon the pun) and decided to wear a silk skirt from Gap.  I love the pattern and pleats.  I paired it with a black Express blazer, black silk cami, and Calvin Klein tights.  The cami is gathered at the top mirroring the pleats a bit.

I decided to belt the cami for a bit of shape. I narrowly avoided a Marilyn moment when walking a few blocks to meet an expert.  For accessories I wore my silver ball ensemble and Michael Kors watch.

Thank you Marilyn, for making sure windy days did not mean that ladies could not wear skirts!

Movie Night

Here's an outfit I wore to watch a movie with the girls at our place. This is one of the last remaining tops I have from Arden B. that still fits me. Everything else I've either outgrown physically or fashionably! I paired it with black skinny jeans from Topshop and flats from Dunnes...which I am going to have to replace soon because I think they have served their purpose :( Also, note the 'sparkling' example of my need for a new camera!!

Two colors of animal print!

Is it a problem to wear leopard print in two colors?  I don't think so.  I've been loving animal print this week.

This is a Forever 21 Blazer with Victoria's Secret Pans, Bandolino Animal Print Shoes and Pink Animal Print Silk top from Express.  These were taken on one of my "silly" mornings.  The pink top has a cute little ruffle around the neck that I love.

I had a deposition this day!  I wore a Antonio Melani Suit and Antonio Melani shell with appliquéd flowers!  I love the subtle texture of the suit.  You can see it in some of the close up shots.

I have been wearing my glasses a lot lately.  My eyes have been very dry and I have been getting headaches.  I think that I look smart with glasses.  Sometimes I worry that the glasses take over my face though.
